After months of hardship I came to the obvious and did what a rational person with a brain would have done-uninstalling and re-installing Chrome. I can now comment on my computer!

Chrome get's dinged for quite a few things, but at the end of the day, it's my favorite browsing experience. It's not the most lightweight, it's not always the fastest and it eats batteries on laptops faster (but I use a desktop). But at the end of the day my processor/memory have waaaay more overhead than chrome could ever consume, so I don't notice these things. So all in all, it just feels the best.
